Only 20 minutes from the heart of Perth, Western Australia is the Swan Valley where you can enjoy a wonderful honeymoon at the Novotel Swan Valley Vines Resort and Country Club.
The Swan Valley is Western Australia's oldest wine growing region and is well known for its wine, fresh produce and gourmet treats. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants and some beautiful picnic spots. Depending on the time of your visit you might find markets, craft fairs, wine and food fairs or vintage car rallies. You can visit a wildlife park, have a romantic ride in a horse-drawn wagon, go horse riding along the river, hike along a walking trail, cycle or play golf. Or perhaps you would rather just enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area with its granite outcrops, rolling vineyard country and picturesque waterfalls.
At the local galleries you can buy unique items from the pottery, painting, woodwork, jewellery, indigenous art and sculpture on offer. You can also buy the local gourmet produce including jams, preserves, olives, cheese, chocolate and nougat.
