El Nido is a municipality of 18 villages located at the northwestern tip of the Palawan province in the Philippines. It is about 430 kilometres southwest of Manila, the Philippines capital, and the most striking feature of El Nido is its massive limestone islands. One of these is Miniloc Island which has an idyllic resort set in a cove of Bacuit Bay with a backdrop of sheer limestone cliffs.
To get there you have a flight of about one hour from Manila, arriving at a small airport on a beautiful beach surrounded by tropical forest. From there you have a boat trip among the limestone islands to reach the resort.
There are only 43 rooms at Miniloc Island Resort and a variety of accommodation styles - Water Cottages and Seaview Rooms built on stilts, Garden Cottages surrounded by tropical plants, Cliff Cottages nestled in the hillside and Beachside Rooms right on the beach.
The air-conditioned accommodation has thatched roofs and is furnished with indigenous Filipino materials. There are wooden floors, walls made of woven bamboo slats, and furniture hand-made from natural materials such as bamboo and rattan which gives a lovely ambience.
Your honeymoon package is all inclusive with 7 nights accommodation, return flight between Manila and El Nido airport, all meals, return boat transfers to and from the airport, island hopping, fishing, introductory dive and use of equipment including wind surfers and kayaks.
Resort facilities include a restaurant located at the clubhouse, a boutique, video room, game area, Pavilion Bar, and a conference room, complete diving and snorkelling facilities, as well as, kayaks, aqua bikes, windsurfers, and hobie cat. Activities offered include lagoon tours, cave tours, mangrove river tours, bottom fishing, bird watching, hat making, picnic lunches, sunset cruising and, with prior arrangement, dive courses.
Part of Minlioc's charm is the clear water and beautiful natural environment. You can snorkel at the end of the pier among hundreds of tropical fish including giant Jackfish and metre long gropers. Marine Sports Guides will accompany you if required. Different islands and activity sites in El Nido are easily accessible, and the famous Big and Small Lagoons are a short kayak ride away from the resort.
